Saturday is my clean-the-house and do-the laundry day like everyone else. But I don't leave the day void of inspiration. Just had to pick up some flowers from the Farmers Market plus a few words of wisdom on a sign.

Celebrate Me Vintage

Then she invited me to her lovely home- a cottage filled with vintage treasures and surrounded by hundreds of distressed and worn furniture and decor in a quarter acre property. I was in wonderland! I also learned that she sells at the Long Beach Flea Market.

Jeanette and her husband later moved to France and in the busyness of our lives, we have lost contact. I am sure she is living her dream of a romantic and inspired life. But what she left me was a lasting treasure- a discovery of my own passion and love for vintage and some very charming pieces.

Designer: God
"...Think about how the flowers of the field grow; they do not work or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these." - Matthew 6: 28-29
It will only take one of these flowers for me to see how great God is.....
how He lovingly designed each one.......
and put together it's delicate parts......
in different shapes.....
and painted some of them with vibrant colors.....
and others, the faintest and sweetest of hues......
For some, He made graceful ruffles.......
and to others, lovely accents that would shame diamonds around a lady's neck.
{And sometimes I wonder how many more of these designs does God have in His sketchbook}
"And if this is how God clothes the wild grass, which is here today and gone tomorrow, won't he clothed you even more...."- Matthew 6:30
{These photos are obviously not mine and have been obtained from various unlabeled sources in the web. But I would like to give credit to each very talented photographer who has captured God's designs in one of His simplest but awesome creations- the flowers of the field.}

Granny's Attic in Temecula
While others have gone places for the Labor Day week-end, I decided to stay home and finish my shabby chic project in my bedroom. I needed more plates to hang on an empty wall, so I braved the summer heat and visited Granny's Attic antique mall.
Granny's Attic is my favorite place to go in Temecula because of their large selection of vintage and antique decor and furniture. The mall houses 200 shops in 30,000 square feet of merchandise .
This is my favorite booth in the mall for it's shabby chic items and occasionally authentic French treasures like vintage enamel buckets and teapots.
So many goodies that I love...the tureens, vintage cabinet, and the lamp.
Despite the heat inside {the large fans did not do much for me}, I went home with my loot.
Pretty floral plates and limoges for display on my bedroom wall
So pretty....{and I can say that a hundred times}
An English sugar bowl with lovely floral design
Granny's Attic is located at 28450 Felix Valdez, Temecula, CA 92590 across the river in Old Town Temecula.
And my shabby chic project....I would need another week-end.
