Vintage Inspiration: John Derian's Abode

I have been so inspired by John Derian's vintage-rustic-flea market style homes that I just have to post his abode in a whole floor of an 1850's East Village building in New York.
Maintaining the original vintage look of the space, he keeps everything in its patina.
And I think the end result is a cozy authentic vintage home.

An Artist's Home: John Derian

I love vintage-cottage homes with a hint of shabby chic style, but my heart also has a spot for the downright rustic. Today, I happen to find an inspiration online- the 1789 Cape Cod home of John Derian in Provincetown, MA.

And so I read....John is an American decoupage artist who has built a design empire with a shop on the Lower East Side of New York City that also features artisans and collaborators. You can also shop for a wide variety of artistic home goods and furniture online at John Derian Company, Inc.
