I can't help but share with you the flowers in bloom at Disneyland. Of course they have these lovely landscapes all year round but yesterday, as we celebrated my granddaughter's birthday at the happiest place on earth, I felt the coming of spring in these colorful blooms. As always, the flowers gave me a sweet smile in my heart.

Reason for Joy
"So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God." Romans 5:11
Floral Print Inspirations
My Love of Floral Vintage Patterns
Floral vintage prints (in old and new fabric) bring me as much delight as pretty teacups and plates. When my taste and style evolved from traditional country to vintage-cottage, I knew that such beautiful prints are going to be a hallmark of my decor. My early search always turned to frustration but with the come-back look of vintage in clothing and home decor, and after discovering my new world of flea markets and antique malls, I could not help but get a piece of each beautiful print. Now, they extend from quilted throws, decor pillows, to my pj's. Sometimes, just by accident, I find myself wearing a pj that has the same print as my throw pillow. Then I would feel so silly!

In the Eyes of the Beholder
I had my eyes on this blue-green glass even before I knew what it was. Beautiful, I thought...as a small vase, paper weight, a votive....At the end of a few hours of work and play at Michelle's space, she told me I can have anything I want from her space. And this is it...a glass used for telephone pole installation! For me... a thing of beauty.

A Friend Indeed
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." Anais Nin
After months of not seeing each other, my friend, Michelle, and I finally met over a tall vanilla bean and green tea latte at Starbucks in my beloved Temecula Old Town. So many things to catch up on- family, work, and our passion for vintage treasures. She had asked me to help her re-arrange her stuff at Country Porch where she has a dealer space. The pleasure is all mine.
My dear friend Michelle in a lovely pose...but the purple feathers have to go.

So many things to catch up on- family, work, and our passion for vintage treasures. She had asked me to help her re-arrange her stuff at Country Porch where she has a dealer space. The pleasure is all mine. Our friendship stemmed from two years ago when we were both dealers at Le Chateau, a vintage shop in Murrieta. Our mutual admiration for each other's work quickly sparked the friendship. She loved the vintage cabinet I painted yellow and I was amazed by her resourcefulness (you got this for free?!!). After looking through her stuff, I found out how much more beautifully she can paint furniture. This lady has the skill of a handyman and the talent of a brush painter. But she always insists that she loves my stuff.
But what was more wonderful is the fact that we are sisters in the Lord. She is also a Christian so we can relate to each other in a spiritual sense. She has been such a blessing!.........
I'm so glad to visit the shop again- it feels almost like home. Another talented dealer has taken over my space by the front window and it looks charming. We met our friends, Carol, who is the manager of the shop, and Debbie, who always have a lot of good stuff to display.
Needless to say...it has been such a wonderful day.
