Creating Lovely Vignettes

Passionate as I am with home decorating, displaying things I love and creating vignettes are sometimes still a struggle. This talent may come naturally to a lot of people but the art of styling can be learned and developed. All we need is an eye for beauty. These images are my inspirations every time I have a "designer's" block.

Marie at http://vitaranunkler.blogspot.com/ makes absolutely lovely vignettes.

I love this vignette of vintage treasures {via Marie at http://vitaranunkler.blogspot.com/}

Everything vintage- sewing notions in a wooden box, vintage cutleries and dishes, old postcards- all come together in a lovely display with fresh flowers. {Via tumblr.com}

A kitchen vignette of enamel ware, green vintage bowl, and crocheted pot holders- simply lovely.

A themed display of natural sea beauties and polished stones on a beautiful weathered drawer chest.

A grouping of clear jars filled with a variety of seashells.

Worn mirror, vintage buttons, and unique vintage bottles.

Cath Kidston's mantle vignette of personal treasures. Visit http://news.cathkidston.com/.

Love this vignette with a lot of different elements- frames, mercury glass candle holders, pretty bowl and teacup, vintage bottle- made more dramatic by a purple wall.

Fresh produce can definitely be part of a kitchen vignette as shown above by Vibeke at
http://vibekedesign.blogspot.com/. How inspiring is this with the vintage plates, tin can, and an old
weighing scale- love it!

A simple but lovely mantle vignette.

Worn books and rusty weights come together with sewing notions backed by a frame and mirror- truly vintage.
