~Off To Work I Go~
I finally found a day job and started working last Monday, March 23rd. This was such a blessing although I miss full-time blogging. The familiar sight of office equipments, folders, paperwork, almost deadens my creativity. I am training to be a Patient Coordinator/Admin. Assistant for a medical supply company but the moment I stepped into the office, all I could think of is how this office will look prettier- maybe, some vintage-white distressed desk, wire baskets for folders, fresh flowers on my desk, and shabby-chic frames on the walls? That would really be fabulous! I know I would have to pace myself better between my day-job and my creative calling. So, work is good but home is definitely better.
We have a pretty decent office with traditional cherry-red desks and office chairs but I think this desk and lovely chair will be perfect for me. (Photo credit to Rachel Ashwell @ Shabby Chic)
The walls are still bare waiting for frames or art work to be hung but a pretty stencil like this would be just lovely. ...and of course, fresh flowers are always inspiring....
...wire baskets to hold folders would be fantastic...
...framed chicken wire to hold my precious memos...
...and this may be too much but French chandeliers might be a new concept in office interior design...
..and finally, a wire tray for my incoming paperwork...
...yes..then I am all set to start working....

~Simple Joy~
In the ramble of my daily grind, I have visited my surroundings less often. Yesterday, I captured the pleasure of the greeneries around our home. Then I realized how much beauty there is just outside my doors.
Wild flowers, just left to thrive by themselves, but seemingly want to show their beauty.
I never paid attention to this variety of rosemary. But look at how pretty they lay their flowers!
I have always seen these bushes in our slope as ground fillers. Now they are beautiful flowers in our house.

Passion for Vintage Plates
I have quite a collection of French and Bavarian vintage plates but have always hesitated to hang them into a grouping for fear of the "gandmother's look". But I found several inspirations from Martha Stewart Living magazine and found them beautiful and not granny-looking at all. Soon, they will find their place on my wall.

Spring
A garden leading to Disneyland is picture-perfect for spring...and weddings, too.
I don't have a floral garden as my husband and I love to adorn our small garden with perennial greeneries. What I do have is a row of hydrangeas in the corner of our house. I visit it often to check if flowers are in bloom for my vase or in winter, if the plants are thriving well.
Today, I see leaf buds signaling the coming of new blooms....then I feel spring is around the corner. March 20 on the calendar is the first day of spring- my favorite time of the year.

The Peak of My Inspiration: A Heart in Provence
I can only dream of living in Provence, France. But when I landed on the blog, A Heart in Provence by Laeriss, it took my heart to a place that encompasses my whole world of creativity and vintage style. The moment I saw her photos, I was sure she is a professional photographer, a famous designer, or an author of some great design book but her profile introduces her simply as Laeriss. She is one lady endowed with great creativity and style.
One can only be mesmerized by the way she gathers elements to create vignettes incorporating things she loves from nature- twigs, branches of leaves, nuts, and many more. It is such a great art like a painting you would admire in a museum.
I can also feel her grace in the photos of vintage-style clothes and jewelries. I am able to identify my style again when at 52, I lose track of my own taste in fashion and is in constant confusion of what looks nice on me.
I will definitely be a frequent visitor and this short write-up does not justify the beauty of her blog. It was sweet of her to share her creativity in French and English- a must see blog at www.heartinprovence.blogspot.com.

Colors of Spring
I can't help but share with you the flowers in bloom at Disneyland. Of course they have these lovely landscapes all year round but yesterday, as we celebrated my granddaughter's birthday at the happiest place on earth, I felt the coming of spring in these colorful blooms. As always, the flowers gave me a sweet smile in my heart.
