~On Shutters and Old Peely Doors~

I discovered the beauty of shutters and old peely doors through my friend Janet when we were both in the business of vintage dealership. Her family has decided to move to France and I felt I have lost a dear friend. But she has left me with a discovery of the beauty of vintage treasures I otherwise would not have seen. Right now , I know she has a lovely home behind her peely door.

A peely door I inherited from Janet, now standing as a vintage background for this old wing chair.

~A Wedding Inspiration~

Two souls with but a single thought,
Two hearts that beat as one...Freidrich Halm

[Christopher Robin to Pooh] "Pooh, promise me you won't forget about me, ever. Not even when I am a hundred."
Pooh thought for a little.
"How old shall I be then?"
"Ninety-nine."
Pooh nodded. "I promise," he said.

~Pottery Barn in Town~

I'm so glad Pottery Barn opened its doors by our local Promenade Mall. Although flea markets and antique shops are the main sources of my inspirations, it is always nice to take a peek at modern country inspirations, and sometimes take home something new to mix with something old.

~Those Wondrous Years~

Saturday, April 4th, was one of those great times that we get to see each other again. My highschool classmates from St. Bridget's College, back in the Philippines, had this small gathering to welcome a new arrival to these events. I can't believe our friendship has spanned thirty-five years like we've never separated ways and lived our lives in different places. And although we have all traveled different roads, we are now led to this one place. Our laughter has not changed..or maybe it did..because now, it is louder and our friendship growing deeper each time. We giggled, screamed, pushed, hugged, and laughed even louder...

Husbands and friends share in the laughter, even if they knew little of our highschool days.
