Treasure Finds at Serendipity Antiques

One of my favorite things to do is to visit one of the  local antique shops here in Old Town Temecula- Serendipity Antiques. This sweet and charming shop houses a lot of my favorite vintage accessories- shabby chic and rustic furnishings, French enamel wares, lovely vintage linens, and vintage jewelries to name a few.
It was unfortunate that customers are not allowed to take pictures inside the shop but my favorite finds yesterday were the French enamel jugs or pitchers in minty-green color, blue, and rose pink in perfect condition. Though we want the weathered look, I cannot help but appreciate the rust-free items. There were other enamel wares like  French teapots, cups, and plates.

I was able to take pictures of the porch, though, and here are my favorite finds.

The Porch

Chippy-peely vintage cabinet with original hardware, a German sign, potting table, and wooden tool box

Vintage tool carrier

Old wooden crates and an old window with chicken wire

Hooks from salvaged materials

At the back of the shop is a beautiful garden shop called Jasmine's Garden. So nice to walk around in this lovely fall weather of California.

Succulents

Very cute idea

Charming birdhouse

Nice color contrast and spider-like succulent

Blog Inspiration: Vita Ranunkler

I am featuring an absolutely  inspiring blog called Vita Ranunkler, by a Swedish mom named Marie, who makes the most gorgeous natural wreaths. I found the blog while surfing the net and for my love of vintage, her blog is heavenly. Everything in it {make that every page} is just utterly beautiful! Her home, her shop, and photography makes me want to go to Sweden if only to meet this nice and creative lady, bring home goods from her shop, or go vintage-shopping at her neighbors' yard sale.
Needless to say, her home has been featured in European magazines.
With her permission, here are some of the photos from her blog.

The Window To My Soul

"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today." - Dale Carnegie

“When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.”- Kahlil Gibran

“It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations. -Kahlil Gibran

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” - Rumi

“What you seek is seeking you.”
Rumi

“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.” - Kahlil Gibran

“Happiness is the settling of the soul into its most appropriate spot.” - Aristotle

"A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul..."- Proverbs 13:19
